We begin by understanding the technical requirements for the project. We perform feasibility studies to see if it is economically, technically, and operationally desirable.


Next, we create documentation which entails the end-user requirements. This is done in the technical format that will be used to design the system.


After that, we focus on creating a guide that will be used during the development phase of the project. This includes the high-level design specifications or the architecture used for development.


After the designs are reviewed and approved, we will go forward with developing the software project. The foolproof strategy formed by the first three steps will ensure a smooth development phase.


In this phase, we test the developed project in terms of integration and user acceptance. We analyze the project for any bugs and correct them if any. Once we’ve met the requirements we move forward to the next step.


Deployment entails precise planning if the new system is replacing an older one. We supervise the transfer of data, and instalment of extra software & hardware required so that the target audience can start using it.


The final step is to ensure the maintenance of the software deployed. This includes repairs, patching, and updation that does not require making huge changes to the software design.

Apache Cassandra is a free and open-source distributed database management system designed to handle large amounts of data across many commodity servers, providing high availability with no single point of failure. Cassandra offers robust support for clusters spanning multiple data centers, with asynchronous masterless replication, allowing low latency operations for all clients.

Cassandra also places a high value on performance. In 2012, University of Toronto researchers studying NoSQL systems concluded that “In terms of scalability, there is a clear winner throughout our experiments. Cassandra achieves the highest throughput for the maximum number of nodes in all experiments” although “this comes at the price of high write and read latencies”.
